Primary School Teachers’ Pack – It’s all about respect

As part of the Helping Kids Grow campaign ChildLine has produced a primary school teacher's pack addressing the issues of citizenship and respect. Developed by teachers, the pack consists of seven lesson plans and complies with the new citizenship, social education and pastoral care curriculum.

Each of the seven lesson plans includes a new George Street cartoon based on respect, making it easy for your pupils to see how respect in its various guises is an essential part of their daily lives.

CHIPS

ChildLine also works in partnership with schools and young people to raise awareness about ChildLine and the issues that young people face. CHIPS (ChildLine in Partnership with Schools) encourages schools to support their pupils, setting up projects run by and for young people to tackle issues that affect their lives.

Find out more about CHIPS, peer support and how your school can work in partnership with ChildLine.

We've also set up a special interactive area, George Street Park, where children can explore different issues with the help of their favourite George Street characters. Visit the Kid's Zone with your pupils to find out what the George Street kids do when they have problems.

Fundraising in schools

ChildLine has a range of fun and educational projects that schools can get involved in to raise money for ChildLine. For more information on schools fundraising projects take a look at ChildLine's website.
